Account Executive

{company} is seeking a Business Development Executive for our growing IT services practice. Over the past 17 years {company} has become one of the leading IT service providers in Austin, with a hard-earned reputation for outstanding customer service, unsurpassed technical excellence, and rock-solid operations. Our Business Development Executive will work closely with our Chief Development Officer to refine and execute our sales strategy.

{company} sells relatively complex, long-term IT services to businesses in the Austin area. That market, coupled with our commitment to excellence in customer service and how we present ourselves to the world, means that we are seeking a very specific type of sales professional to join our team.

The right person for this job will be excited by the prospect of building long-term relationships with potential clients. They will understand that our business is about building long-term relationships with other Austin businesses. They will bring their intellect, ideas, and growth potential to a job that will allow them to have genuine input and impact. We are not selling cars or consumer products–the right person for this job will understand business-to-business sales and be prepared to deliver.

Duties of the Account Executive

This is a consultative outside sales position. Your primary responsibility will be finding and bringing new business customers from the Austin area into {company}’s family of IT and cloud services. You will also be expected to maintain and grow these new business partnerships going forward.

Market Mastery

  • Participate in {company} sales training to develop proficiency in our company history, value proposition, differentiators, sales processes, and various technical services

Sales & Relationship Building

  • Promptly respond to inbound sales calls
  • Generate qualified leads by contacting prospective clients by telephone, site visits, networking, and marketing events
  • Consult with prospective clients to determine their needs and communicate the advantages of our solutions
  • Develop and present proposals in a highly professional manner, respond to sales objections, and obtain contract approvals
  • Review sales activity and pipeline status on a regular basis with {company} management and adjust as needed to consistently achieve 100% of your sales quota
  • Coordinate with other {company} teams to ensure the smooth, delightful onboarding of new customers


  • Understand and adhere to {company}’s core values and culture, fostering our high-quality and customer-centric approach to IT services

Requirements for the Account Executive Position

  • Must have a proven record in selling business-to-business services with excellence measured against your past sales goals and ranking amongst your colleagues
  • Must have the ability and desire to become a master of our products and value proposition
  • Must have some basic IT-savvy and understanding of business IT needs; a history of success with selling IT or IT-related services is a major plus
  • Must be extremely organized with a personal preference for organization and keeping plans
  • Must be personable, presentable, and articulate both in written and spoken communications
  • Must have the skills and personality to communicate with and relate to a wide range of business people and personality types, from office managers and HR directors to CFOs, CEOs, and IT directors
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to take meetings in the Austin area
