Microsoft has released 13 patches today that address multiple Windows vulnerabilities. 6 of which are rated as critical. The bulletins, which address 31 specific vulnerabilities, all deal with problems that could result in remote code execution, elevation of privilege, denial of service or a security feature bypass if left unpatched.
The critical-rated bulletins are MS16-037, MS16-038, MS16-039, MS16-040, MS16-042 and MS16-050 with each potentially allowing remote code execution. The vulnerabilities addressed include updates for Flash Player, Microsoft Office, and HTTP. This means that if these vulnerabilities are not addressed, hackers can remotely log in to your system and access all of your files, resulting in a HIPAA breach.
